Honda Civic Earns Best Family Car Pick of 2016
The Honda Civic, already the 2016 North American Car of the Year, is Honda’s best-selling car globally, playing a leading role in advancing fuel efficiency, small-car safety performance, design, technology and fun-to-drive performance for 10 generations.
Just launched in Australia, the 2016 Civic sets a bar in the small car class with the addition of the Honda Sensing™ suite of advanced safety and driver-assistive technologies, which is available on VTi-LX.
The ARC line differs from more conventional production methods as it allows workers to fit a number of parts as they move down the line with the vehicle. With Honda’s ARC line, four workers step aboard the unit, all with a series of components that must be fitted.
“The new Civic is clearly changing customer perceptions in the small-car segment both overseas and here in Australia,” said Honda Australia Director, Mr. Stephen Collins.
“To be award such prestige acclaim by Parents magazine and Edmunds.com is a validation that the Civic is the right car at the right time for many of our customers.”
Honda Australia already holds 329 pre-orders for the new Civic.
In Australia, the new Civic sedan leads a three-pronged launch strategy for the model. After the sedan, the Civic hatch arrives in the first half of 2017, followed by the performance Type R hatch.
