Honda's Big Finish To 2015
2015 was Honda Australia’s strongest year in half a decade, with 40,100 new Hondas heading home with happy customers.
“We set out at the start of the year to have strong sales growth and make 2015 a big year for us,” said Honda Australia Director, Mr. Stephen Collins. “Pleasingly, our sales are up 21 percent compared to a year ago and our top performing models have been the HR-V, Jazz , CR-V and Odyssey.
“Over the past 12 months we launched a number of new and exciting products, demonstrating our commitment to delivering exceptional products to Australian consumers,” Mr. Collins said.
The launch of the highly-anticipated HR-V in February saw the small SUV quickly make its way onto people’s shopping lists all over the country, with 10,899 units sold in 2015. The creative world also took notice of the
HR-V, with the locally-made commercial making Google’s Top 10 most-watched-ads on YouTube (www.youtube.com/watch?v=9c7MJl3H5as).
The Odyssey topped the people-mover segment for private buyers every month in 2015 (to end November 2015).
A total of 9,845 Honda Jazz were sold in 2015, proving the sporty and versatile hatch is a strong contender in the highly competitive light car segment. Australia’s original SUV, the Honda CR-V, sold 8,608 across both the petrol and diesel variants.
Not only were Honda sales strong in 2015 but Honda Dealers also ranked highest in the industry with the most satisfied Service Customers according to the J.D. Power’s Australia Customer Service Index StudySM.
Looking ahead to 2016, another batch of new Honda product will hit Australian shores with the launch of the all-new Civic and arrival of the much-anticipated NSX Supercar.
