Honda Australia Looks Toward 2015 With An Exciting Return to F1,
Honda Australia welcomes the announcement that Fernando Alonso will join Jenson Button on the grid at the Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix March 12 -15, when Honda renews the partnership with McLaren that delivered eight world championships between 1988 and 1992.
Honda Australia Director, Mr. Stephen Collins said Honda’s return to F1 provided the local arm of the automotive giant the opportunity to remind Australians of Honda’s enviable motor sport heritage and to forge a new era.
“Since the news that Honda would be returning to F1 was announced, the Honda family in Australia has been incredibly excited and supportive. The Honda Australia team in Melbourne has been working with our Dealer network to ensure our customers get the most from our return to the pinnacle of motorsport and we are thrilled that the first race is on home soil.”
Honda Australia is also planning to have a strong presence at Albert Park and is looking at ways customers can get up close and personal with the action and celebrate 2015.
“Next year is shaping up to be a big year for the Honda brand, both here and around the world,” Mr. Collins said. “In Australia, we will launch the highly-anticipated Honda HR-V, which combines fresh styling and dynamic driving in an SUV package. Globally, the new NSX is due to go on sale in the U.S. and of course, we herald our return to F1 racing.
